In their search for answers, the children uncover many extraordinary mysteries
Plot
In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. Steve Perry, the former lead singer of Journey, said that Stranger Things season 4 remix of Journey’s 1980s smash hit “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)”. did pretty much what he originally wanted done in the 1980s, but lacked the technology. Perry was so impressed that he even helped create a remix. Many episodes show people “interrupting”; someone is talking on a two-way radio or CB – that is, one person is talking/transmitting and the other person is transmitting to interrupt them, and the other person hears this interruption and stops transmitting.
Eleven: Friends don’t lie
This has been done several times through children’s CB radios and radios used by the police. Those radios – the CB and police radios of the era from the show – don’t work like that. If you’re sending and someone else is transmitting, you won’t hear them. The Stranger Things opening titles and fonts mimic the look and feel of the opening credits of the 1980s TV series .FoundFlix: Stranger Things (2016) Ending Explained + Season 2 Clues (2016). I guess saying “Two Steves” isn’t an exaggeration
There were two dominant forces in the 1980s that forever influenced my taste in cinema and led to my undying love for fantasy, science fiction and horror stories: Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. probably influenced and shaped the imaginations – dreams AND nightmares – of an entire generation. The main reason I liked their movies and books was that most of them featured kids around my age so prominently. King wrote 'Firestarter', 'It' and Stand By Me, and Spielberg directed or produced (through his Amblin company) E.T., The Goonies; and Gremlins. These were stories where the young characters encountered aliens and monsters, or where they themselves had supernatural powers – or where they simply went on adventures (to find a body or long-lost treasure) with adults who were largely out of the picture.
And this is not a robbery, but a love letter
Now, if you’ve seen Stranger Things, this should sound pretty familiar, right? Of course it does: because Stranger Things; deliberately pays homage to all those stories – and does it very, very well. The show mimics themes and a certain style from those ’80s treasures, and while it’s (to me) a very welcome callback to some of the favorite stories of my youth, it’s also very much its own. I won’t give away the plot here (I think what I’ve written above gives you a pretty good idea of what’s going on here), but I’d like to mention that it’s beautifully shot, the effects and overall production values are top-notch, and the period-inspired music is fantastic. But the biggest shout-out has to go to the ensemble cast, especially the children playing the main characters: their charming performances are key to why the play works as well as it does.
In conclusion: #39;Being a 70’s kid that I am, this show is a must
For everyone else, it might depend a little more on whether or not you’re a fan of the genre, but if you like supernatural stories, Stranger Things; is a treat. I’d rate it eight stars out of ten, but with an extra star for nostalgia, this is a 9.
